Happy September! I am so excited for this month and this new season. Reflecting back on this summer, it was filled with so so so many laughs, lessons and the Lord’s goodness and gentleness. It was filled with camping trips, weekends at the cabin and on the lake, exploring Minneapolis and learning more about our Creator and who He created each of us to be.
What’s been filling my cup in this transition season is how we feel when we leave a season behind and those bittersweet feelings that we truly were present in each moment. Another vision that is filling my cup is how important rest is and how it is so honorable to the Lord. Being go go go all the time is good, but only to an extent. Prioritizing this allows you to be a vessel for Kingdom use. Fleeing old patterns and passions allows for transformations and holiness.
“Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master, ready for every good work.” 2 Timothy 2:21
I ventured out to Minneapolis’ newest coffee shop last week, Fairgrounds Coffee & Tea.
I absolutely loved my visit! I went with my classic vanilla latte and it was so so good. The flavor wasn’t too sweet – just how I like it. The interior design and decor and the staff was what really impressed me. The cafe was so uniquely decorated. Definitely Instagram worthy! My favorite parts were the tile, the mirror wall and the mugs (shown in the first photo).
Although it was a little bit on the noisier side, the kind staff and unique menu options and variety made up for it. I can’t wait to go back and try a matcha latte and a breakfast or lunch bowl or sandwich! This is such a sweet addition to the North Loop and is right across from River Valley Church in Minneapolis, which is so amazing!!!
What do you love about coffee shops? How did your summer wrap up?
Thank you all so much for reading. I hope you all endured an incredible summer of 2018.
