Hi there! A new topic coming at you today – talking about skincare! I have been learning a lot about it and seeking to be more in tune with what is actually good for my body and my skin and it’s been so fun, I am excited to share with you all.
All of my life, I actually have never really had a skincare routine, I would try a cleanser for a few weeks and then stop using it or just use a makeup remover wipe and that was it. Looking back now, I realize how bad that was and how horribly I was taking care of my skin. I’m going to go over each product, how I use it and why I like it and think it’s been working for me.
- Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser – This is my first step. It is a gel type cleanser, not a cream. It is so light, removes my makeup (which is a necessity for me in a face wash) and really feels like my face got clean.
- Thayers Witch Hazel Toner – I didn’t start using a toner until about two months ago and I will never go back. I’ve heard this step is super important for toning and tightening the skin, and fighting acne. I just apply this with a cotton ball and it’s super affordable, too!
- Pond’s Dry Skin Cream Rich Hydrating Facial Moisturizer – This is my final step for products. With this moisturizer, is where I add in 1 drop of my frankincense essential oil. And oh my gosh – this is a game changer! This has cleared up my skin and brightened it in just a few weeks and it feels so good knowing it’s all natural and a great product. Also, the moisturizer is extra hydrating and it’s the BEST! I have naturally pretty dry skin so I had been searching for one for awhile and this isn’t too thick and a little goes a long ways. This is my favorite step.
- Jade Roller – This is the final step that I do once I apply the moisturizer. I keep my roller in the fridge so it’s always cold and I do this morning and night. I have just started using it because of the hype, but it’s been a great addition to my routine to help with circulation, dark circles, breakouts and just a good face massage, am I right?!
I am still working on finalizing my morning skincare routine. If you have any helpful tips for this, please send them my way!
I hope this has been helpful for you if you struggle with skincare or just hearing of new products you may not have heard of before.
Thanks so much for reading!
